So the first time I tasted this traditional Japanese dessert of roasted soy bean powder, over a mochi cube with a deep brown sugar syrup I was like OMG? It was so good! Such a wonderful flavor bomb in my mouth the molasses like brown sugar with the nutty flavor of the roasted soy bean. I knew I needed to translate that moment to a chocolate bar and here it is!
Taking all of the basic flavors of the roasted soy and brown sugar then combining them with toasted black sesame makes this bar taste like a delicious nut butter without the nuts! Sweet, nutty, and a touch savory.
